They both are energetic and experienced with auditions and competitions and willing to participate at the ECD competitions. It was a privilege to speak with the piano pedagogy students at Michigan Stare University. This would be a fine program to institute nationwide, as the pedagogy students are MTNA's future members and leaders. All ECD states are busy preparing for auditions and competitions: Wisconsin-Badger Keyboard Competitions, Michigan-Student Achievement Testing, Illinois-Syllabus Achievement, Indiana-Hoosier Auditions and Ohio-Buckeye Competitions. There are many more activities these states organize for teachers and students. The number of music teachers who volunteer their time, expertise and energies to promote music education in this country is a continual source of amazement.
