Desire.

Desire. Desire Since I've been sleeping on my heart, at least the night's gone quiet and my mind's at rest. I let it go, shrugged off desire--and ever since, I've been sleeping. On my heart, at last, I swore off starting arguments, then strangled all my passions--although I wonder at the cost since I've been sleeping on ... My heart, alas, and my mind are gone. The night is quiet. She just finished savouring The Shadow ofSirius by W.S. Merwin and is now happily engrossed in The Wayfinders byWade Davis.
