Here are five creative ways to get them moving: * Encourage teachers to include physical activities for students ofall abilities in learning exercises, like nature walks and outdoorscavenger hunts scavenger huntn.A game in which individuals or teams try to locate and bring back miscellaneous items on a list. . * Add a couple of 10 minute movement breaks during the day. * Plan school-wide activity fundraisers such as walk-a-thons aroundthe school property. * Get the community involved with family fitness events like familynights at the local Y or community center and fun days at a local park. * Schedule recess before lunch to allow more time for play.
