Executive directions.
Executive directions. What would you do with an extra hour each day? As busy educators, Iknow it's a struggle to get everything done that needs to get done. That's why you take work home, call students on weekends, and stayin your classrooms or offices long after the janitor has left. I also know that the reason you spend this extra time is becauseyou are passionate about your jobs, your students and the impact you aremaking. Unfortunately, the job's challenges can sometimes leave youquestioning why you are so passionate. No Child Left Behind, Perkinsfunding and testing are just a few of the challenges that career andtechnical educators are facing. But challenges will alwaysremain--it's how we deal with them that will determine how muchstronger we can become. As we cope with the challenges facing us, however, we need tocreate the space for rest and relaxation--a place where inspiration cangrow. This month, I want to share with you some of the quotes I havecollected that inspire me. I look forward to working together to createrelevant experiences for you so that together we can continue tocontribute to a world where we can live peacefully and reach our fullpotential.
