Foundation Fund Awards grants. Teacher Enrichment Grant Recipients Sixteen teachers received grants this year from the MTNA FOUNDATIONFUND. A total of $13,150 was awarded to recipients to help fundcontinuing education and professional development projects. The grant is not intended to be used topursue course work toward a degree, for travel funds or for ongoingprojects. However, a grant may be approved for one additional year atthe discretion of the Teacher Enrichment Evaluation Committee. Thenumber of grants awarded in any year is determined by the number ofqualified applicants and available funds. Grants are also given for projects thatsupport the promotion of music in the immediate community. Applications and guidelines for the 2012 teacher enrichment andaffiliate grant programs will be available in September. The deadlinefor receiving completed applications will be January 9, 2012.
